Wearing is Caring

As part of our commitment to care for our vacation family of members, guests and colleagues, face coverings are currently required at all Hyatt Residence Club resorts — even where not currently government-mandated. Shared spaces where face coverings must be worn include the following:

  • Indoor public spaces and common areas
  • Lobbies
  • Food & Beverage outlets, including pool bars, convenience stores, and other similar venues
  • Fitness centers
  • Outdoor public spaces where social distance of 6ft/2m cannot be maintained

Please Note: The above requirements are in addition to any applicable face covering requirements mandated by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions where our resorts are located.

The following exceptions apply to the above face covering requirements while on property, but please note that any more stringent requirements mandated by governmental authorities in jurisdictions where our resorts are located will still apply:

  • Individuals younger than 2 years old
  • Individuals with a health or medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering
  • Individuals who are actively communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication
  • Individuals who are eating or drinking and seated at a food establishment on property (Individuals will be required to wear a face covering while moving around the food establishment and until they are seated at their table.)
  • Individuals who are exercising outdoors, including running, biking, and swimming and who are able to socially distance while doing so

Official Information

Please note:  The recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention order, requiring that all aircraft passengers arriving in the United States from a foreign country obtain a test for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), does NOT apply to airline passengers arriving in the United States from the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

However, there are currently travel restrictions in place when traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico from the United States. Please refer to the websites below for the most current information.

Please visit the official Puerto Rico website below for information on government travel restrictions that are currently in effect for all individuals entering Puerto Rico due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Currently, all visitors will be required to complete the online Travel Declaration Form from the Puerto Rico Health Department, show a negative molecular COVID-19 test result taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival, and obtain an Airport Exit Confirmation QR Code, which travelers will automatically receive when uploading their molecular test results to the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal. Symptomatic travelers (a person displaying COVID-19 related symptoms) will be required to be tested at the airport by the Puerto Rico National Guard. A 14-day quarantine will then be mandated until the traveler provides proof of a negative molecular test result taken on the island.

Please note that face coverings are mandatory at airports and public areas, and individuals will be subject to a fine if they are not adhering to this requirement. Face coverings are also required of all owners, members and guests at the resort in shared spaces including indoor public spaces and commons areas and outdoor public spaces where social distancing of six feet (two meters) cannot be maintained. Additionally, based on local government restrictions and the impact of COVID-19, we wanted to make you aware that amenities and services may be modified during your stay.

Please visit for information on all the travel requirements. We also strongly recommend you contact your travel provider to understand all the requirements of traveling to Puerto Rico.
